So I recently decided to upgrade to Wordpress 2.1 (was running Wordpress 1.5.1.3). I was able to do it rather painlessly, so I figured I’d share just in case others wanted to know.
1. Go grab the Wordpress XML Export . Follow the instructions to put wp-xmlmigrate.php into your wp-content/plugins/ directory
2. Open up wp-xmlmigrate.php and head […]

January 6th, 2007 · No Comments

I know. It’s probably late, but better late than never right?
Here’s how it played out.
I woke up this morning, got a beverage and sat down on the couch. Cracked open the powerbook, and fired up bloglines. […]

May 2nd, 2006 · No Comments
They reasoned that extra-terrestrial intelligence should be common by now. Fermi listened patiently, then asked, simply, “So, where is everybody?” That is, if extra-terrestrial intelligence is common, why haven’t we met any bright aliens yet? This conundrum became known as Fermi’s Paradox.

If you live in Seattle or San Francisco, you can get street level views at http://preview.local.live.com
We had a brainstorm that could help flesh this out. What if you paid people on a per image basis to drive/walk/bike/bus around taking images every 10 seconds or whatever.
Microsoft, what if you paid people 10 […]

What you’ll see there is 2 20″ LCD monitors, the 40gb iPod, a pair of Shure E2c’s (which you’ll just have to trust that one of those cords is indeed that).
What you can’t see are […]

Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Hardware - Natural® Ergonomic Keyboard 4000
Picked up this gem last week. I’ve had about 50hrs on it now and I totally love it. The selling point for me was the reverse tilt on it (so the back tilts up a bit), much like my beloved Logitech New Touch. […]

New SLA batteries coming?
January 19th, 2006 · No Comments
The invention is a battery comprised of an electrical current collector constructed of carbon or lightweight graphite foam. This foam exhibits a sizeable increase in surface area for chemical reactions to take place and eliminates the need for heavy lead plates found in traditional batteries. The graphite material resists corrosion and sulfation build-up, thus contributing […]

Skype Credit expiration
November 26th, 2005 · No Comments
So… this is *super* lame.
I signed up for Skype back in February. I haven’t really had much need to use it, but I may here in the near future.
Back in Feb, I decided to buy $10 of credit just so i could do SkypeOut and such.
Well, upon finding my credit balance at $0.00 […]
