Something happened today that in a word I find fascinating.
I had just finished lunch and I was heading out for a walk. I went down the elevator, and headed down the escalator. 2 armored car guys were coming up from the bank.. One of them said "Hey".... and as we passed he said "Hey" again. I looked up and found that I was looking at the father of an old friend I used to have in college. We shared a brief conversation that lasted as long as two people moving in opposite directions can and I was left feeling the funk of the moment.
Funk in that had I decided to not eat first, or had I took the stairs (thus taking me longer), or had I simply decided to just go out the other door instead of down the escalator...I'd never had met up.
I find these things somewhere close to remarkable mainly because I like to think of how the complexity of our daily lives can squeak out these little gems out of thin air that I guess I'll call a "moment".
I dunno. Perhaps I'm just being weird, and thinking into a chance encounter way too much.
